Montenegro

At the moment of the birth of our planet, the most beautiful meeting of land and sea was on the
Montenegrin coast ... When the pearls of nature were sown, this soil was seized by the full hand.
Lord Byron (1788-1824)

There are several legends about how and why the name Montenegro came about. They were named after one by sailors. Before them appeared a land so close to the sea, and at the same time so far from it because of the big mountains that suddenly rise from the coast. Surrounded by dark green forests, they often give the impression of a black mountain.

Today, Montenegro is a modern and contemporary ecological country that has existed for centuries on the Balkan Peninsula in the heart of Europe. In many ways, Montenegro is a fascinating and unique part of the globe. This applies equally to the space that makes up this country as well as to the people who inhabit it. Although small in area (13.8 thousand km2) and with just over 600,000 inhabitants, Montenegro is one of those countries that proudly emphasize its importance and contribution to the world's cultural heritage and the wealth of our planet.

Due to its position, Montenegro belongs to the middle Mediterranean, that is, to southern Europe. The two most distant points in Montenegro are connected by only 190 kilometers of air line. But between that space, it's as if the North Pole and the Equator met. The changes in the space are sudden and unexpected and quite like a miracle. Faced with these exceptional features, made up of sometimes incredible contrasts, people called it - THE LAND OF THE SIX CONTINENTS

Montenegro is well connected with all the countries of Europe and the world. There are two airports in Podgorica and Tivat. In the immediate vicinity of Montenegro there are two more airports in Dubrovnik (Republic of Croatia) and Tirana (Albania). Modern highways and fast highways pass through Montenegro.
